Biography
I was born in Mexico City; I did a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts at The National University of Mexico (UNAM), where I graduated with Honors and earn a special mention on my research thesis titled "The Space in the Drawing". I have taken different courses on painting, material's techniques, sculpture in iron, and theory of color, alternative restoration of murals, natural pigments, new technical teaching methods, student's psychology, psychoanalysis and art.
I did interships in the Universum, a Science Museum, working in the Planning Board and the Photography Board from 1996 thru 2000.
I've exhibited with other artists my paintings, etchings, engravings and photographs in several spaces, and have exhibited in solo shows.
My work has been selected in three different National level contest in Mexico, earning the First Place, Museo del Pueblo Guanajuato, Mexico, Festival International Cervantino in the VIII National Biannual of Diego Rivera in 1998. Also, a Second Place in the II Graphic Biannual of the State of Mexico in the same year. Inaddition, two of my projects were selected by Mexico City Culture Minister, Art everywhere in 2003.
Outside Mexico, my work was awarded with a First Honorary Mention, International Fair of Contemporary Art in Barcelona Spain, 2007, and a Selected piece by The Latino Museum, Hybridity American Unity in Los Angeles Downtown, 2010.
I have given conferences about my artwork, and radio interviews and been jury for different Art contests.
I taught Color Theory, Illustration, Drawing, Painting, Visual Communi-cation and History of Art for in High School and at the College level, beside Art instruction people of all age.
